We provide numerous performance opportunities throughout the year, including monthly Piano Pizza Parties and 2 recitals in Ms Mariah’s home. Ms. Mariah’s Music students will also have the opportunity to participate in a state-wide piano evaluation program (Student Achievement Test), and you’ll receive a monthly newsletter with practice tips, upcoming events, photos and videos, and more.
Music workshops are also held throughout the year - an opportunity for students to get to know each other, perform for each other in a fun and casual environment, play games, learn about music history, and have fun.
Studio recitals (June and December) are opportunities for students to perform for each other, family, and friends. Students will perform on a grand piano; each student will read 1-2 sentences about the history of their piece and/or the composer, and will perform 1-2 songs. Performing in a recital is a fantastic way to give students something to work towards, be inspired by advanced students, achieve a sense of accomplishment, and to gain confidence in speaking and performing in front of others. Plus, there’s cake and recital punch!
