Mariah Gillespie - piano and harp

Mariah Gillespie is the founder and owner of Ms. Mariah’s Music. From 2017-2021, she served as the Arts Education Commissioner for the City of Coronado, and also served as the Music Chair for the Coronado Rotary Club. She is a Kindermusik teacher and franchise owner, and holds Yamaha Music Education certifications from both Australia and the United States. Mariah has been teaching private piano lessons for 20 years to students of all ages; she has a B.A. in music from the University of Michigan and a M.A. in Journalism and Communications from UNSW (Sydney, Australia). In 2022, she sold the California branch of the business and moved to Michigan, where she resides with her husband and 2 children.

Kelly - piano

Hi! My name is Kelly, and I’m excited to join Ms. Mariah’s studio! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’ve been playing piano for about 35 years. Although I’ve enjoyed learning other instruments, piano will always be my favorite.I graduated from Wayne State with a teaching degree, and worked in various settings before my children were born. While my three children were younger, I taught piano from my home, building a group of almost 30 students before COVID hit. I returned to being a full-time teacher in 2022 and am enjoying teaching sixth grade. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to work again with piano students. I’ve really missed it!
